![]() In a second dish, the meatballs were full of gristle and connective tissue, yet again poorly seasoned.ĭesserts of tiramisu and chocolate brownie were poorly executed. Meat quality of the hamburger was OK, but it was unseasoned, and left a bad taste in the mouth. The third tapas, a slice of grilled black pudding topped with chèvre was acceptable, but not exactly the "avant garde" cuisine that they'd have you believe. The accompanying huevos y oros soup was far too creamy and again lacked seasoning. ![]() The mushroom croquetta was poor, no seasoning and no taste of mushrooms. No choice of starter - it was a mix of three tapas. We found a Groupon Menu on our place settings, and when we asked why, we were told that this was also. The first floor dining room was freezing cold. We made the mistake of booking a dinner bed and breakfast package in the Hotel Indigo. There was a good range of options price wise.įor mains son had his obligatory rare steak, with potatoes and asparagus and armed wine sauce, daughter plumped for a tornado steak, with a nice sauce while wife and I went for Sea bass on green beans with a tasty accompanying sauce, everything eaten, these mains were between 18 and 22 euros each, and were certainly decent value. The menu has a large selection of Tapas for sharing and a good selection. The staff were helpful and friendly but not over intrusive.įor starters son (17) had the octopus dish and I, wife and daughter (20) enjoyed huge plates of scallops with an exquisite iberico ham sauce adding saltiness to the dish, these starters were around 20 euros ( there were the most expensive) and were huge portions, 2 dishes would have been enough to share for the 4 of us, but is was the last night of the holidays! packed out which is always a good sign for a hotel restaurant, we had drink in there downstairs bar and moved up for dinner around 10.40 where our booked table was waiting. This restaurant tucked away on the 2nd floor of the 4/5 star Hotel Indigo (right in the middle of Madrid) is a gem, we have eaten here 3 years running and have never been disappointed, this year was no different.
